My wife just kicked my butt!
OK, so I just put this in my Day-by-Day Journal, but I thought I'd go ahead and cross post it here in my blog.
With our gym having very short hours on Sundays, my wife devised a cross-training workout that positively kicks our rears. If you ever find yourself unable to get to the gym, here's a little something for you to try. The emphasis here, you will see, is on the lower body:
Jumping Jacks - 30 seconds
Weighted squats X 12
Run in place - 30 seconds
Lunges X 12 per leg
Chair/bench step-ups X 12 per leg
Dead lifts X 12
Jump rope - 30 seconds
Leg kickbacks X 12 per leg
Jumping jacks X 30 seconds
Complete entire series then rest for 1 minute. Repeat the series twice (3 times in all).
I'm sitting here sweating profusely and chugging water.
